We would like to provide an update on transportation options to and from Suvarnabhumi Airport to help you plan your journey conveniently and efficiently. Whether you choose a taxi, GRAB, AOT Limousine, self-drive rental car, public bus, intercity coach, public van, chartered bus, Airport Shuttle Bus between Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports, airport shuttle services and the Airport Rail Link, you can select the option that best suits your needs for comfort, speed and seamless connectivity.

1. Taxi

\r\n\r\n

Taxis are available 24 hours a day on Level 1 of the Main Terminal, between Gates 4 and 7 (Inner curb). Two types of taxi services are available:

Passengers are required to obtain a queue ticket before using the service. Waiting times depend on passenger demand at the time.

\r\n\r\n

Fares start at THB 35 or THB 40, plus metered fares according to rates set by the Department of Land Transport. An additional THB 50 airport surcharge applies, payable directly to the driver. Baggage fees may also apply in accordance with Ministry of Transport regulations.

2. EV Soceity Taxi VIP

\r\n\r\n

EV Soceity Taxi VIP is also available 24 hours a day on Level 1, Gates 4 and 7 (Middle Curb),  the main terminal. These fully electric vehicles operate under the VIP Taxi fare structure:

3. CABBY Electric VIP Taxi 
\r\nCABBY operates 24 hours a day at Gate 3 (middle curb), Level 1, the main terminal.

4. GRAB

\r\n\r\n

5. AOT Limousine

\r\n\r\n

Enjoy premium 24-hour airport transfer services with AOT Limousine. Service counters are located in the main terminal on Level 2 for both domestic and international arrivals. All vehicles are professionally maintained, fully insured and operated by experienced chauffeurs to ensure maximum comfort and safety.

Connecting Flight Procedures from SAT-1 to the Main Terminal

Step 1 After getting off the plane and entering SAT-1, passengers proceed to the B2 floor to board the APM train to the main terminal. Then, proceed to the 2nd floor, which is the arrival area.

\r\n\r\n

Step 2 For an international connecting flight, walk to Transfer Desk, following the signs “Transfer Desk” and “Connecting Flights Gates A, B, C, D” or “Connecting Flights Gates D, E, F, G”.

Step 3 Passengers without a boarding pass shall go to the airline counter to issue a boarding pass and proceed to Security Checkpoint, and then walk to the boarding gate for boarding.

Step 4 For domestic connecting flights, passengers proceed to the 2nd floor after arriving at the main terminal. Follow the signs “Domestic Connecting Flights”. Then proceed to Immigration Customs Formalities and security check procedures at Security Checkpoint. And walk to the boarding gate.

Passengers with nothing to declare means they do not have any items liable for duty and taxes and prohibited or restricted goods with them when arriving in Thailand. For this case, they should use the Nothing to Declare lane, and the following items are exempted from duty:

If it is found that the declaration is accurate when compared with the shipment, the Customs officer will record the inspection result in the computer system. The importation of shipments and parcels into Thailand can be divided into two type

The Customs procedure for goods arriving in Thailand by post 

\r\n\r\n

The goods arriving in Thailand by post are classified into three types: 

\r\n\r\n

Category 1 Goods exempted from duty, which is goods imported by post and has Custom value, including freight and insurance charges, of no more than 1,500 baht or samples with no commercial value, which will be used for exhibition only and are not prohibited or restricted goods. For this category of goods, they will be handed over to Thailand Co., Ltd. to distribute to recipients. 

\r\n\r\n


\r\nCategory 2 Goods liable for duty, which are goods imported by international post. This type of goods is sent from a sender/consignor to a recipient/consignee at the same time, with its FOB value not exceeding 40,000 baht, regardless of its number of packages. The goods under this category must not be prohibited or restricted goods, or goods requiring sample analysis before release. For this type of goods, Customs officers calculate its Customs value as well as duty and taxes before handing it to Thailand Post Co., Ltd., which is responsible for distributing the goods to the recipient and collecting duty and taxes on behalf of the Thai Customs Department. In this case, the recipient will receive a notification instructing how and where to collect the goods and pay for such duty and taxes.  

\r\n\r\n

The recipients/consignees wishing to object to Customs valuation or request duty and tax exemption are required to follow the steps below:  

\r\n\r\n
    \r\n\t
  1. The consignee complete and submit Request Form (available at post offices and www.postalcustoms.com) along with the notification and relevant documents such as evidences for purchase and receipts to the designated post office. Duty and tax payment is not required at this stage. 
    2. \r\n\t
  2. The post office hands over the parcel and all documents received to Customs 
    3. \r\n\t
  3. Customs Service Division responsible for post informs the result of consideration to the relevant post office so that it could inform the consignee accordingly. The consignee may decide on one of the following options: \r\n\t\r\n\t

\r\n\r\n

Category 3 Other goods not classified under Category 1 and Category 2. This type of goods is handed over to be stored at Thailand Post Co., Ltd. or Customs Bureau/Customs House, depending on each case. The consignee will receive a notification instructing him/her to pick up the goods/make payment for duty and taxes Postal Customs Service Division or a designated Customs Bureau/Customs House 
\r\nCustoms Formalities for the goods under Category 3 can be classified into 2 types:

    Goods whose FOB value is above 40,000 baht: The consignee has to prepare and submit import declaration electronically to the Thai Customs Electronic System. The goods, regardless of its total number of packages, which are sent from a sender to a recipient or arrive at the same time, and have total FOB value exceeding 40,000 baht, require import declaration submission

    Goods whose FOB value is less than 40,000 baht: The consignee is not required to prepare and submit import declaration electronically. Customs will calculate Customs value as well as duty and taxes at the same Customs office.

Household Effects includes other goods than the personal effects, which are brought with the passengers in or out of the country. To be eligible for duty exemption, the importers are required to have owned, possessed, and used the household effects before they return to Thailand to resume residence and the quantity of the household effects is required to be reasonable. Examples of the household effects include televisions, refrigerators, air-conditioners, etc.

 Criteria for Used Household Effects Duty Exemption 

\r\n\r\n
    \r\n\t
  1. \r\n\t

    Both Thai and non-Thai residents changing residence into Thailand are eligible to bring used/secondhand household effects into Thailand, in reasonable quantities, free of taxes and duties.  It is also required that the imported used/ secondhand household effects have been owned, possessed, and used in the country where the importers resided before returning to Thailand to resume residence. In case where the household effects are electrical appliances e.g. radios, televisions, refrigerators, microwaves, ovens, air conditioners, etc., only ONE unit each of such items is eligible for tax and duty free allowance. However, if it is the family change of residence, TWO units each of the items will be allowed to bring in tax and duty free. Any excess unit shall be subject to regular taxes and duties, and Customs will place the items that have the lowest rate of duty under tax and duty exemption. It is important that the used/secondhand household effects must be imported not earlier than one month before or not later than six months after the arrival of the importers. Under exceptional circumstances, Customs may extend the time limits for the importers.

    Nonresidents who change their residence into Thailand and Thai government officials who took up posts abroad and returned to their residence in Thailand are eligible to be granted duty exemption for their household effects in reasonable quantities as stated in item 1 above.
